The milk pump

The milk pump ensures that the milk is pumped towards the milk cooling tank. The capacity of the milk pump depends on various factors, such as the length of the pipeline, back pressure, type of tank filling, and pre-cooling. All milk pumps from SAC are made of high-quality stainless steel.

Centrifugal milk pumps

The centrifugal milk pumps of 9,000 and 12,000 liters feature a unique impeller blade that guarantees the preservation of milk quality. These pumps are equipped with a ceramic seal. Both the 9,000-liter and the 12,000-liter milk pumps have a drain valve located behind the pump, making them low maintenance and easy to use.

Positive displacement milk pumps

The displacement milk pumps of 4,000 and 8,000 liters are equipped with a rotor based on a displacement principle. This design prevents air from entering the milk pipes, thereby protecting milk quality. The pump housings are also equipped with a check valve. Additionally, the 4,000-liter pump features a drain valve, while the 8,000-liter milk pump has a drain valve located behind it.

Milk pump frequency-controlled or not

The milk pumps of 8,000, 9,000, and 12,000 liters are available with a frequency converter. In the UniMilco system, the frequency converter is installed, which, together with the level sensor in the milk receiver, ensures a smooth and controlled milk discharge. This helps prevent damage to the milk fat globules. When combined with a pre-cooler, such as the plate cooler, a higher pre-cooling efficiency can be achieved due to the smooth and even milk flow. This cooling system can result in significant energy savings.
