Swing-over
The Swing-over system is available for the 60-degree herringbone or 90-degree parallel milking parlour. Milking starts automatically when the milking cluster rotates to the other side of the milking parlour to milk a cow. The milk meter is located above you in the middle of the milking parlour, allowing you to work with high-level milk lines.
The milking parlour is adapted in terms of pit width and ironwork dimensions to the length of the Swing-over arm. This guarantees an optimal milking process with the SAC Swing-over.
In this setup, the flexible rod guide ensures perfect placement of the milking cluster. With this system, you achieve a higher capacity compared to the investment made.
Benefits of Swing-over

Additional information
Cabinet as an option
Due to the unique SAC milking technology, where the system is attached to the pit edge, it is no longer necessary to place a cabinet for the ironwork. This provides a more organized milking parlor (without pulsation lines crossing the work area), a better view of the cows, and less risk of mechanical damage from pests in the cabinet. If desired, SAC of course offers the option to provide a cabinet.
Automation: identification per stand and walk-through recognition
For all milking parlors, it is possible to integrate an identification system, with the choice of identification per stand or walk-through recognition. Identification is important so that you can view the milking process per cow, in Apollo Farm Control, and automate it. For a good overview of the cows and more comfort in the milking parlor, we recommend installing a Milking Parlour Monitor (MPM). This enhances your work pleasure. With this, you can see from a distance if your cows are being milked properly. The MPM shows essential information to monitor the milking process effectively. In very large barns, you can even integrate multiple MPMs to reduce walking distances.
To feed or not to feed during milking
Whether or not to feed cows during milking depends on the choice you as a dairy farmer want to make. Research indicates that concentrate feed has a positive effect on the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is stimulated by eating concentrate feed, causing oxytocin to be released, which helps the cow let her milk down more easily. This results in faster milking sessions, shorter milking times, and benefits udder health. Programmed feeding during milking also provides the opportunity to better supplement cows during the grazing period.
