The cow's milk may need to be separated, for example to collect colostrum milk, for antibiotic use or for a cow with mastitis. Milk can be separated with a separation bucket. Separation buckets are available in stainless steel and plastic.
It is possible to use the separation bucket separately, using the cluster used in the barn. This separation bucket is very suitable for collecting colostrum milk or milk containing antibiotics.
When this is unwise in terms of hygiene, due to mastitis for example, it is advisable to use the separation bucket with complete cluster and pulsator. This prevents mastitis spreading through the liner of the cluster.
